Modern Warfare 3 is just one week away and is predicted to sell 2:1 against Battlefield 3. According to sales tracking site VGChartz, it is already shattering pre-order records set last year by Call of Duty: Black Ops, which set records on both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
In the latest pre-order charts (dated 29th October), MW3’s pre-order numbers sit king of the hill at 3,454,020 total (PC + PS3 + 360). Rival Battlefield 3 sold 3,001,468 pre-orders before the final week, and that’s total among the three platforms mentioned earlier.
Anyway, the total number of Xbox 360 pre-orders — 2,386,019 copies — alone shattered the Black Ops total pre-orders among the three platforms.
Here is a chart so you can see the massive difference clearer.
