Rezurrection Released

The Rezurrection Map Pack released…

A Call of Duty XP Zipline Trailer…

and how Call of Duty: Elite could help stop cheating in MW3

So, uh, what does it have again?

Rezurrection features the four original maps from Call of Duty: World at War: Nacht Der Untoten, Der Reise, Shi No Numa and Verruckt; also featuring a brand new map that takes you out of this world! Literally. Moon, if you haven’t noticed yet, will take place on the moon and Treyarch called it a ‘season finale’ for zombies. There’s more?

Rezurrection also has a Moon theme and a 20-song soundtrack absolutely free when you purchase the map pack.

Though, if you have the Hardened / Prestige edition of Black Ops, you can get the whole map pack and its contents for free with only your gamertag and code. Here are the instructions:

If you have already downloaded the Classic Zombies Pack that came with the Hardened and Prestige Editions of Call of Duty®: Black Ops, fire up the game and go to the Zombies menu.  Select either SPLITSCREEN or XBOX LIVE and make sure you are using the XBOX live profile that you used to redeem the maps.  There will be a new menu option that reads “FREE ZOMBIES LEVEL.”  Select this option and you will be allowed to download Rezurrection for ZERO points starting on August 23rd.  If you still have the code from the Hardened or Prestige Edition but have not redeemed the Classic Zombies Pack, you can use your code whenever you like, Rezurrection will still be free for you when it is available on August 23rd.

You can also acquire Rezurrection for free by re-downloading it from Marketplace or from the STORE in the MP menu on the 23rd.

Inside Xbox Gameplay

Inside Xbox has posted a preview (well before the launch) of Rezurrection, the latest and thought to be the last map pack of Black Ops, which features only zombie maps.

Call of Duty XP Zipline Trailer

And if you have remembered, there will be a zipine in Call of Duty XP much like the one in the Black Ops Multiplayer map Kowloon.

The following video, or trailer, details the safety aspects of the zipline. Call of Duty XP will start in a couple of days, more precisely September 2 – September 310 AM to 10 PM.

How Can Elite Help Stop Cheating?

Beachhead Studios talked about how their service Call of Duty Elite could help stop cheating and boosting in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Another thing Call of Duty: Elite is helpful for is cheating.

When you have the data, you can analyse… like hey, every time I get in a match, that guy is killing the same four people over and over. When we run competitions, we can make it fairer. We can crack open the data and understand what’s going [on]. If you see someone you suspect of cheating and you analyse the data, it’s like there you go, they all stand in a line and he shoots a bullet through all of them. so it’s really valuable for us.

Noah Heller
Beachhead Studios

He also said that punishments can range from an alert to a ban, much like Call of Duty: Black Ops.

In terms of the competition, invalidating the terms of service, we might ban you, we might invalidate your results. If someone gets 100 headshots in an hour… you know? We have a 24/7 live ops team, they’re multilingual, we’ve got folks in Europe, folks in the States. we’ve learnt a lot by talking to the Blizzard guys. What we do is we’ll be running a lot of competitions, we’ll be looking at the leaderboards. We do a lot of cheat detection.

Also, they constantly monitor competitions.

We’ve got constant detection that’s going on. We are always looking at people in competitions. If something looks awry, we will we will jump into that game to see if something is up.

They called themselves the “live ops team” of MW3.
