The Call of Duty XP Map

Activision has released earlier today, the official map for the new Call of Duty event Call of Duty Experience. Also, MW3 could support colour blindness, Spec Ops trailer sneak peek, and what’s this juggernaut carrying?

Spec Ops Trailer Sneak Peek

Robert Bowling confirmed (via Twitter) that they are making a new Survival Spec Ops trailer… purely on gameplay! But it hasn’t been released, yet, so everyone’s still waiting.

Bowling released the ‘sneak peek’ of the new trailer which he calls ‘version 3’:

What’s that Juggernaut Carrying?

dSo what do you think? AK? SCAR? FAL? ACR? To me, it does look like an AK47.

Bowling Updates Trailer Info

Robert Bowling, via Twitter, said updates to the trailer and the mode itself. They are below, from Charlie Intel.

  • No ETA on the Spec Ops trailer, they are still working on it. It definitely won’t be today. They just completed the V.O.s (Voice Overs) this week with the actors.
  • Improving kill-cams. Considering a “bullet-follow” view. Would be too hard to do a “Best Kill of the Game” kill-cam due AI needed to determine that.
  • Spec Ops and Multiplayer trailers made at Infinity Ward, campaign trailers made by ANT FARM.
  • Confirmed Remington ACR (as opposed to Bushmaster ACR).
  • H.U.D.s will differ from Spec-Ops & Multiplayer.
  • Still working on fixing the hacks for COD4.
  • Reconfirmed 2 MP5 variants in MW3. The original COD4 (redesigned as MP5A2) and Modern Warfare 2’s MP5K.
  • Spec Ops is designed for 2 players.

MW3’s Colour Blind Mode

Black Ops featured support for people with disability with a control scheme, NOM4D. There are still no information for disability support for Modern Warfare 3 except this: it could have colour blind support.

Michael Condrey from Sledgehammer Games today confirmed that they are working on ‘Colour Blind Support‘:

Research suggests that as much as 6% of the general population suffers from Color Blindness, or more accurately Color Vision Deficiency. Men (9-12%) are 20x more likely to be afflicted than women (0.25-1%). Those numbers vary depending on which source you quote, but we estimate that nearly a million gamers are playing Call of Duty every day with this issue. I am happy to report that we are working on a Color Blind Assist option for Modern Warfare 3.

Do you have a friend that’s colour blind? I do. Do you think it’s a good idea? I do.

Call of Duty XP Map, Experiences In Scale

Activision released thier own map for Call of Duty XP, showing all the experiences in scale. Hang on! Not all experiences have been ‘declassified’. Head over there now!
