But seeing as though I have a great passion for CoD i’m here to fill the void left by a very busy intensePlayer. So, what are we faced with in this exciting new DLC drop for MW3:

First of all there was a small patch released earlier this week, just before the DLC hit Xbox live elite users, which included a few minor fixes;

Updates:

-Improved lag compensation
-Theater fixes
-Nerf to Striker (less powerful)
-Buff to all other shotguns (more powerful)
-Faster uploads to YouTube

PS3 players are unfortunately still waiting for the upload, and a sense of injustice and anger still remains at the recent decisions of IW and others.

Just after that update we were hit with 2 new maps (Xbox elite users). However it wasn’t long before once again we were witnessing another small update, a “hotfix” to be precise. This time Infinity Ward announced that the apparently long awaited ‘nerf’ for all automatic pistols would be released. This is an area of the game which has caused controversy for some time, with the banning of the Type 95 in some competitive CoD circles many felt as though the strength of the Akimbo machine pistols needed addressing.

So what happened?

Well, Mr. Bowling announced all automatic Akimbo weapons would receive a “50% decrease to their fire rate”.

Here’s what the new stats look like according to  DW24/7:

Search User is there, its the only thing you can search for… click the search button in the upper right corner, type a name. What it doesn’t do is find names that are close to a name you searched for, it needs the exact user name.

So because of that, the Android app only receives a 3-star rating.

• Reordered Improve items to appear in unlock order.
• Added more weapon guide thumbnail links to ELITETV
• Numerous stats fixes and formatting fixes for the Improve section
• A number of additions to the maps in Improve for the Headquarters and Demolition game modes.

Call of Duty needs a refresh. All the Call of Duty titles have been the same since Call of Duty 3. A yearly release, regenerative health, map packs and console-based. A refresh would be great after 5 similar games.

It would change the face of the franchise. Call of Duty wouldn’t be that big old boring shooter juggernaut (as viewed by others, especially BF fanboys) but a different type of series.

It would bring more people into the Call of Duty community. Those fans of the action-adventure genre would join the Call of Duty community and be a new fan. And more $$$ for Activision.

It would be set in a new era. Well, it’s an action-adventure game, and it’s a different series within the CoD franchise, so why set it where we’ve already been? Why World War II? Why the Cold War? Why 2016 (MW3)?

New game modes. Campaign, Multiplayer and a different type of Co-Op.

New guns. Who doesn’t like guns, eh?
